Buffalo, NY, experiencing a deficit of MINI Cooper rentals

Although there have been 58 Mayors since the founding of Buffalo, NY, there has yet to be a rental car company to offer MINI Cooper rentals in this "culturally and ethnically diverse" city. Maybe convertible MINI rentals would not be so popular (although MINI does offer a cold weather package), I would love to cruise around Buffalo and the rest of beautiful upstate New York in a hardtop MINI for a few days. And now with the new MINI Clubman you could cross the border at Niagara Falls and fill up the comparably enormous trunk with Cadbury chocolate and maple syrup.

Please email us if MINIs become available to rent in Buffalo.

Bowling Green yet to offer MINI Cooper rentals

Although Bowling Green, OH, does not currently have any rent-a-car companies offering MINI Cooper rentals, their website states that they are a "thriving community that provides high quality services yet maintains a caring, small town climate." You would think that a city with such a cute statement on their homepage would offer visitors the cutest rental car known to man.

Maybe stating that they are located "on the edge of the Great Black Swamp" is scaring away all the MINIs. I don't know.

Please let us know if you hear of anyone renting MINIs in Bowling Green so visitors can cruise this quaint college town in style.

Search tip for international MINI Cooper rentals

Here's a MINI grammar tip for international travelers looking for MINI Cooper rentals:

While here in the US we call it "MINI Cooper rentals," elsewhere in the world, including the UK and Australia, they call it "MINI Coopers for hire" or "hiring a MINI Cooper." So if you're from the US or Canada and want to "rent" a car in another country and are having trouble finding a rental car, try looking for "car hire" or "cars for hire" instead.

And for those of you planning a vacation to Hawaii from the UK or Australia, be sure to type "honolulu convertible car rentals" or "convertible rental cars honolulu" or even "convertible rent-a-car honolulu."

This tip brought to you by Little Hawaii Car Rental Co.

Hire a Mini Cooper in Vancouver, BC

We just got a lead from one of our visitors about MINI rentals over at the Budget location in Burnaby, BC. From speaking with one of their friendly employees, it sounds like they have two Cooper S hardtops for rent in chili red and powder white. They might even have a silver one as well.

Their MINIs rent for just CA$59/day, and are available at the Burnaby location (604-668-7230) just west of Vancouver, located at 2685 Gilmore Ave. Their MINIs may only be reserved on a same-day basis, which I'm assuming means you need to wait until the day you want to rent a MINI to call them.

Vancouver even has two Mini clubs: Vancouver Mini Club & BC MINI Cooper Society. Be sure to check out their websites so you can check join them in one of their activities while you're in town.

I've only been to Vancouver once and loved it. What a beautiful city surrounded by majestic mountains, luscious pines and, of course, friendly Canadians. Unfortunately, we didn't know about the MINI rentals over in Burnaby and had to settle for a Dodge Cobalt. That won't happen again.

Before you leave, be sure to pick up a copy of Frommer's guide to Vancouver.

Rocky Mountain Mini Rentals in Denver

We have a few friends who live in Denver. We have a few friends here who visit Denver. But none of them can rent a MINI Cooper in the Mile High City today.

You would think that the 26th most popular city in America would be a bit more up with the times. But don't worry, Denver, we still believe in you and your MINI-rental-acquiring potential. Let us know when you get some rental Coopers so we can help fill its seats with fellow motoring enthusiasts. Maybe either of the two MINI Clubs in Colorado (3M Club or Mini 5280) could help us out.

And who knows, maybe renting MINI Coopers can boost popularity up to, say, 20th or so?

MINI Cooper rentals in Boston anyone?

After much searching, I was sad to find out that in this wonderful city of crazy, curvy, congested roads there are no MINIs for rent. What a shame. I don't think our founding fathers would be very proud of Boston's RENT-ation without MINI-ization.

If someone starts renting MINIs in Massachusetts, please drop us a line at portal@littlehawaiirentals.com.

Rent a MINI Cooper in Italy & France

Ever toured around the breathtaking Italian Alps? How about in a MINI? That sounds like a euro dream vacation if I ever heard one!

Alex over at Rent A Mini Milano emailed me the other day to let all MCRP viewers know he has two beautiful MINIs for rent in Italy. They have a Chili Red Cooper S Convertible and a Pearl White Sidewalk Edition Cabrio. And for a limited time, he's offering a 10% discount to all MCRP viewers!

They offer delivery service to all of Italy and even to Cote Azure, France, and delivery is free within 50km of Milan with any 3-day minimum. Their prices are very reasonable, and it looks like they might be adding a few more MINIs to their fleet soon. I was in Europe for 2 years a while back, and I couldn't think of a more exciting car to cruise around the Italian countryside. Rent A Mini Milano will definitely get a call from me next time I'm there.
